Romanian ethnic dress from Transylvania, handmade medieval dress size L - XL
Antique hand embroidered on homespun fabric Romanian traditional dress from Transylvania /Banat folkloric region. Dated probably: 1920 - 1950
Hand embroidered with white silk thread on flax / cotton made at home fabric / antique homespun fabric.
It is closed with button.
The dress is decorated with beautiful white silk hand embroideries on chest and lower hem and with a row of hand crochet lace.
Measurements:
dress length: 143 cm or 56. 29 inches
around chest: 122 cm or 44 inches
around waist: 124 cm or 48. 8 inches
a good armhole size for L - XL size
sleeve length measured from the base of the neck: 80 cm or 31. 5 inches
the circumference around lower hem: 170 cm or 67 inches
In actual sizes is L - XL size for a medium to tall woman.
Age: 60 - 80 years.
Condition: nice vintage condition,, no tear, no repair, a tinny rust stain..
The piece is museum quality. A perfect representation of an antique or medieval dress from Transylvania.
