Antique homespun and hand stitched textile from Transylvania, pair of traditional towels
Pair of antique homespun and hand stitched Romanian decorative textile / runners, center table, towels from Transylvania.
They are hand woven with cotton, flax thread and hand embroidered with colored cotton thread. Decorated also with hand made cotton lace.
Age: 80 - 100 years old
Size: 180 cm long x 42 cm wide measured without the lace (70. 8 inches X 16. 53 inches wide)
Lace is 13 cm long / 5 inches
Condition: used in f good condition. One towel is in better condition than the other. Both have tinny rust stains here and there, no more of 2 or 3 in total. Also there are traces of the wear on edges, one towel having an one inch tear on one side. Also a yellow stain. All flaws are captured in photos. Anyway, the towels are beautiful, very old, completely handmade more than 80 - 100 years ago, suitable to decorate a traditional room, a museum or for an antique Transylvanian accent in an actual interior.
Washed in hot water, ready to be used.
