Vintage Romanian peasant blouse and skirt from Transylvania size M/L
Vintage (1960 - 1980) hand embroidered on homespun fabric Romanian traditional blouse and skirt from Transylvania /Banat folkloric region.
Hand embroidered with white silk thread on cotton made at home fabric / homespun fabric.
It is closed on shoulders with tie strings.
The ample skirt is gathered on elastic added lately, in past times there was a tie string, a rope. The blouse is decorated with beautiful white silk hand embroideries on sleeves and chest. The skirt is decorated with similar kind of embroideries around lower hem and with a row of hand crochet lace.
Measurements:
blouse length: 60 cm or 23. 6 inches
around chest: 112 cm or 44 inches
Good armhole size even for L size.
The skirt is very large and it is gathered on elastic around waist line. It is embroidered around the lower hem with white silk hand embroideries.
Skirt measurements:
the circumference around lower hem: 200 cm or 78. 74 inches
length of skirt: 78 cm or 30. 7 inches.
Condition: nice vintage condition, no tear, no repair, no stain. Clean and ready to be worn.
