Romanian peasant costume from Banat, vintage handmade hand stitched and hand beaded outfit size M or M/L
Gorgeous hand embroidered / hand stitched and hand beaded Romanian traditional costume from Banat. The blouse and the skirt are hand embroidered with multicolored acrylic thread on organza, a sheer / see through fabric. The skirt is decorated on the lower hem with beads and with an wide row of hand embroideries. The golden embroideries seems to be machine made. The colorful pattern is hand stitched: cross point.
Dated around 1960 - 1980.
Condition: very good, slightly worn only, clean and ready to be used.

Measurements: blouses length: 50 cm or 19. 7 inches
around bust is 130 cm or 51. 18 inches
skirt length: 74 cm or 29. 13 inches
the skirts circumference: 180 cm or 71 inches
Also the costume contain a pair of hand beaded aprons. The frontal apron is richly hand beaded with multi colored beads on brown / bronze satin. The back apron is narrow and similar hand beaded. There are no missing beads, the frontal apron is only slightly dirty, but not very noticeable. The back apron is in perfect condition.
Frontal apron is 60 cm x 60 cm or 23. 6 inches x 23. 6 inches
Back apron: 66 cm x 18 cm or 26 inches x 7 inches
The costume is in good to very good condition with normal traces of the wear for an item of 50 years old.
