Antique Hand Embroidered Romanian blouse from Kalata /Calata / Transylvania

Antique hand embroidered on homespun fabric Romanian traditional blouse from Transylvania / West Plains of Transylvania / Huedin area.



Hand embroidered with white and black cotton thread on flax / cotton made at home fabric / homespun fabric.



Was restored by replacing the neck and changing the under armpits.



It is an old blouse made probably at the beginning of the years 1920 - 1940. It is a very scarce blouse with a hand embroidered black "bracelet " around the elbow. It display very fine whit hand embroideries around shoulders, around the upper part of the elbow and around the sleeves hem.



Measurements:



blouses length: 45 cm or 17. 7 inches

shoulder to shoulder; 50 cm or 19. 69 inches

around chest: 130 cm or 51. 18 inches

from shoulder to under armpit: 18 cm or 7. inches



The blouse will fit to any size M because it has plenty of fabric around chest but to the larger sizes will be somehow uncomfortable to wear under armpits.
