100 yo Romanian homespun hand embroidered skirt from Transylvania
Superb antique, aprox. 100 years old Romanian peasant skirt from West Plains of Transylvania, part of the original Romanian costume from this region.
Hand woven and hand embroidered. The fabric is hand woven cotton and flax and is hand embroidered (open work) with white cotton thread around the lower hem. A hand made lace trim decorate the lower hem too. I found one repair in embroidery, check photos for details. Also a tinny hole. It is completely hand made and very old.
Size: L - XL, but please check the measurements:
the circumference around waist: 90 cm cm or 35. 43 inches
Length: 64 cm or 25. 2 inches
Around the waist it is adjusted with tie strings.
Weight: 1 kilo (aprox 2. 2 pounds).
