Vintage hand made Romanian ethnic costume from Oltenia / size M / L - 3
Stunning Romanian complete costume from South Romania / Gorj county. It contains 4 pieces:
1. 40 - 50 years old hand embroidered blouse top. It is hand embroidered with blue cotton thread on white sheer gauze cotton. Good condition with normal traces of the wear. The blouse had a RUST stain down near the lower hem. The rust stain can not be removed so we hemmed that area, you can see this in my photos. The hemmed part is covered by the blue skirt anyway.
Measurements: blouses length: 64 cm or 25. 2 inches
around bust: 122 cm or 48 inches
Age: 40 - 50 years old
2. Hand embroidered Romanian traditional underskirt. It is hand embroidered with blue cotton thread around the lower hem. It is made of white gauze cotton. It is in good condition.
Will fit to size M or L.
Skirts length: 66 cm or 26 inches
Around hips: 210 cm or 82. 6 inches.
Around waist is an elastic.
3. A pleated over skirt, hand woven with blue acrylic thread. It is hand woven around 1970 because in those years the Romanian people intensively replaced the cotton and wool from their weave with acrylic thread.
Skirts length: 51 cm or 20 inches. Around the lower and upper hem it has 250 cm or 98 inches. It is pleated around the upper hem and it is adjustable with an elastic.
Condition: good condition showing the normal traces of the wear for its age.
4. A vintage hand woven belt. In very good condition.
The costume is beautiful and is originated from Oltenia.
