Stunning and extremely scarce Romanian costume from Western Transylvania . About 100 years old costume !
It contain 3 pieces :
1. Romanian blouse with bell sleeves hand made in handwoven in hemp and flax fabric . Hand embroidered with black and indigo cotton thread . The black lace around the sleeve's lower hem was added lately and seems to me that is NOT handmade .
Size : S - M ( if you have no more of 167 cm tall and 60 kilos )
Measurements : blouse's lenght 49 cm or 19. 29 inches
underarmpit to underarmpit : 57 cm or 22. 44 inches .

2. Skirt which is completely hand made : hand embroidered with black cotton thread on homespun fabric ( hemp and flax ) . The skirt is extremely large and it is adjusted around waist with a string . It will be pleated and all the pleats must be arranged at the back .
The skirt's lenght is 82 cm or 32. 28 inches
width : 130 cm or 51. 1 inches
Condition : good condition for its age . No major flaws , only a tinny tear that I captured in my photos and a tinny rust stain .

3. Front apron , hand embroidered with black cotton on homespuned fabric .
Condition : very good with no flaw .

Absolutely wonderful costume , unique and extremely scarce .
