Beautiful antique Romanian man's costume from Northern Transylvania of more than 40-50 years old .
It contain 2 pieces :
1. Hand embroidered short shirt with tunic collar . The embroidery is beautiful , displayed on collar , cuffs , shoulders and yoke . The fabric of the shirt is hand woven linen . Completely hand made : hand woven and hand embroidered .
Condition : underarmpit's gussets was replaced with gussets made from a different fabric probably to make the shirt larger . Minor traces of the wear but a beautiful piece , for collectors . The buttons are the original buttons from 1940-1960 . The metallic buttons are rusted and need to be replaced .
Size : in actual sizes will fit to S-M in women's sizes but please check the measuremesnts :
shoulder to shoulder : 41 cm or 16. 14 inches
underarmpit to underarmpit : 53 cm or 20. 86 inches
shirt's lenght : 56 cm or 22 inches
sleeve's lenght from shoulder to cuff : 59 cm or 23. 22 inches

2. Traditional wide trousers made in hand woven linen .
Size : around the waist the trousers are adjusted with a elastic so will fit for more sizes . Around the waist the trousers have : 144 cm or 56. 7 inches
Trousers lenght is : 92 cm or 36 inches

Age : 40-50 years old
Condition : vintage good condition . Minor traces of the wear : I found a very small tear that I captured in my photos and few very tinny rust stains . The trousers are summer trousers and are worn with "opinci " , romanian traditional footwear , not boots !
